Earth Day 2018

Earth Day 2018

When is Earth Day 2018?

Earth Day is held on April 22, worldwide, to celebrate the planet and support its protection. Was first introduced in the US in 1970. Now, Earth Day is celebrated in more than 193 countries.

What is Earth Day?

Earth Day is the perfect time to think about the planet will live on, as well as the damage our actions have on it.

  • Solar energy
  • Renewable energy
  • Drought
  • Endangered species
  • Air pollution
  • Biodiversity
  • Water pollution

The theme this year is dedicated to ending plastic pollution. Sadly only 25% of plastic is recycled with the majority that isn’t ending up in landfills or our oceans where it takes 500 – 1,000 years to degrade. Simply making the switch to reusable options can make a massive difference! 💚 Choosing reusable items such as drink bottles, food containers, coffee cups and sandwich bags is all it takes to start saving our planet!
